pumpkin spice & good music | personal

the mornings have started getting cooler & afternoons slightly less hot. what does this mean, my friends? why, that autumn is on its way!

although it's technically not fall yet....i like to pretend it is. and it helps tremendously that starbucks finally has released my fall favorite, the pumpkin spice latte.

so today, i'm enjoying the lovely weather while drinking one and jamming out to mat kearney.:)

starting of school thoughts

school has started, and with it, the craziness of a colorful, exciting, windy fall. minus the fall weather, of course. ;) it's still hot and humid here in iowa. but i'm already getting excited for sweaters and scarves, boots and books, starbucks pumpkin spice latte (soooo perfect!) and of course, lots of family and senior sessions!

i have lots in the works, and i'll be sharing SOON!

(i promise! i know i keep saying that but be patient with me, please!)

school started up on monday and i know that i'm going to love being in the photography program. i get to explore the darkroom and black&white film this semester. how cool is that?!

here is one of my more recent photos, from the KC Market. my family visited a few weeks ago and it was such a fun experience. :)

Erin | Portraits

the first night here, Jessica demonstrated how she does a portrait shoot with two of her gorgeous friends, Erin and Anna. After she spent some time with them, Julie and I each got to spend some time working with them. Erin is super fun and full of energy and laughter! It was suuuuuper easy to work with her, due to her gorgeous face and bubbly personality. :) Which, I think, carries over pretty well in some of these photos... ;)
