in-home newborn session | baby Naiya

i'm going to be trying something new...something to capture the authenticity of you, of your family, of your life.

remember as a kid, how you loved those home videos? the ones of your first birthday party, or when your parents brought home a brand new sibling from the hospital? the ones where you wore the MOST ridiculous outfits—and it's humiliating but oh-so-hilarious now!

i want to capture that, but now. and sans-embarrasing 90s clothes. ;) those real moments...i want to experience them with you, capture them & put the in a book or on your wall for all to see. so that in 20 years, you'll look back at these days & be able to feel them.

more about all this will be coming soon...but first, an introduction of sorts. sweet little miss naiya, when she was just 11 days old.

oh so tiny, oh so precious, oh so loved. photo naiya01_zps0f592cf4.jpg photo naiya02_zps12d85ff8.jpg photo naiya03_zps0f971737.jpg photo naiya04_zpsd1b89bb9.jpg photo naiya05_zpsa404a316.jpg photo naiya06_zps8cb6710f.jpg photo naiya07_zps32b94978.jpg photo naiya08_zpse5336b7b.jpg photo naiya09_zps202d91a3.jpg

baby ellery | in-home session

there is something so amazing about babies! i don't know what it is. but they are so incredible. they are tiny little people! just like you and me, minus the talking and plus the diapers, pretty much. ;) i love just about everything about them (i may say differently when i have one or two of my own...but for now, nope! haha.)

baby ellery came in to our world just 4 weeks ago, and she's already got her own personality. (most of what she showed me was the "i don't like your big black box, so i'm going to wail for you" part of her personality...but she's not shy to share it! hah.) and it's no secret that she's daddy's little girl her and mama's sweetheart.

world, meet this darling girl. she'll be amazing you in 10, 15, 20 years...I can tell:)

i'll end with my favorite. every daughter should have a photo like this to cherish someday when she's old enough to realize how amazing mothers are!

adyson | 5 months

this post is long, long overdue! if you can't tell by the lovely yellow & green tones from the below photos, they were taken quite a while ago. ;)

miss adyson's mama wanted to get some photos taken of her before she got too much older, so we went out early on a saturday and had some fun watching the early morning sun come up and playing in the grass. by the end of our session, however, little miss had decided she didn't want any more photos...and would look away from me, no matter how we positioned her & her mom! she's a smart little girl for sure! (and a cutie! no doubt about that one.) :)
